My mother needed me – like, really needed me, and it was because she was having a lot of financial hardships down in Mississippi. I love her to death and I would have never forgiven herself if I’d just left her to fend on her own so I did what any good son would do: I packed up everything I owned and rented a Uhaul and moved myself down to Mississippi! I’m slowly getting used to life here and I still have a lot of work to do to get my new place all set up. I gave her some money to get her through and I think she’s feeling a lot more confident now that I’m close enough to go by and check on her every day. I was at a country music concert last week  and there were people getting turned away at the door, while scalpers were overcharging for the opportunity to get a single ticket somewhere in the back.
